Description

The ADEL System CB2420A is a high-power 24V DIN rail battery charger designed for dependable battery management in industrial control, security and infrastructure applications. Manufactured in Italy, it combines switching power technology with ADEL System’s Battery Care charging system.

Operating from a wide 90 to 305VAC input, the CB2420A provides a 24V DC charging output at up to 25A, delivering approximately 600W of charging power. Its automatic multi-stage charging process is suitable for open and sealed lead-acid, AGM, gel, Ni-Cd and lithium battery technologies.

The charger includes automatic battery diagnostics, LED status indication, relay outputs for mains and battery alarms, and Modbus RTU communication. Automatic Battery Care Charging

ADEL System’s Battery Care technology uses controlled constant-current and constant-voltage charging with recovery, bulk, absorption, boost and float stages to manage the connected battery automatically. The charging system is suitable for open and sealed lead-acid, AGM, gel, Ni-Cd and lithium battery technologies and helps maintain battery readiness during long-term standby operation.

Battery Diagnostics and Fault Signalling

LED indicators provide clear operating and diagnostic information, while integrated relay contacts allow mains and battery alarms to be passed to an external control system. The charger can identify conditions such as reversed battery polarity, incorrect battery voltage, a disconnected battery and batteries with shorted cells. The charger also supports Modbus RTU communication for integration with compatible monitoring equipment.

Compact DIN Rail Installation

The robust enclosure measures approximately 150 × 115 × 135mm and mounts on standard 35mm DIN rail. Automatic fan-assisted cooling supports reliable operation at high output power.
